There are no IndyCar races left in 2026. The 18-race season finished at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on September 6 with the Grand Prix of Monterey, and Álex Palou won the championship for Chip Ganassi Racing. It was his fourth title in a row and the fifth of his career.

The 2026 season in short

Sep 6Grand Prix of Monterey (finale)Laguna Seca

In between, the series raced on the streets of Arlington, Long Beach, Detroit and Markham, on the road courses at Barber, Road America, Mid-Ohio and Portland, and on the ovals at Phoenix, World Wide Technology Raceway and Nashville Superspeedway.

The car

Every team runs the same Dallara IR-18 chassis. The engines come from Chevrolet or Honda: a 2.2-litre twin-turbo V6 with a hybrid unit. Because the chassis is the same for everyone, the difference between teams comes from set-up, engines and the drivers, which is one reason the field stays close.

How an IndyCar weekend works

On road and street courses, qualifying is a knockout. The field is split into two groups, the quickest from each go through to a second round, and the last six cars fight for pole in the Firestone Fast Six. Ovals use single-car runs instead, and the Indianapolis 500 has its own qualifying over two days. Races are decided as much by pit strategy and fuel saving as by raw speed.

When IndyCar comes back

The 2027 calendar had not been confirmed when we checked. St. Petersburg opened both of the last two seasons, in early March, so a start around then would follow the pattern. As soon as the first race of 2027 is in the schedule, it will appear on our IndyCar page with its start time in UK time.

How to watch IndyCar free on F1 Streams

Each race gets its own page. Open it from the IndyCar schedule about an hour before the green flag and pick a link; each row shows the quality, language, number of ads and the TV channel it carries. If one drops, go back and open the next. There is no signup.

Official ways to watch

In the United States every IndyCar race is shown on FOX. Until the new season starts, you can follow Formula 1, MotoGP and NASCAR, which all have races left in 2026, on the all motorsport page.
